The Analysis of Ukrainian Policy in the Field of State-Religious Education: Secondary School

The article provides an overview of approaches to the organization of religious education in secondary schools of Ukraine during the period of its independence, which complements the European experience of studying this issue. Attention is paid both to the historical circumstances of the beginning of school religious education in the interaction of religious, state and educational institutions, and to modern issues related to the policy of introducing subjects of religious and moral orientation in Ukrainian schools. The current legislation in the field of religious education in a secular school, the real practice of its implementation, and the challenges that give an idea of ​​the specifics of Ukraine in this matter in the European space, are analyzed. The legislative work of Ukraine on ­resolving the issue of legal regulation of the possibility of establishing educational institutions of different levels of accreditation by religious organizations is generalized. Statistical data on the state of teaching religious and moral subjects in schools of Ukraine are analyzed. Prospects and possibilities of further teaching of religious education in the Ukrainian public school are considered.

The Effect of the Implementation of Islamic Religious Education and Religious Character on Independence for Class XI Students of SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali for the 2021/2022 Academic Year

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in schools plays a significant role in shaping individuals' religious values. A study was conducted to uncover the influence of IRE and religious character on the self-reliance of 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in the academic year 2021/2022. A quantitative correlational method was employed with a population of 323 students. A sample of 20 individuals was selected using stratified simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive methods, Product Moment correlation, regression, t-test, F-test, and R2 test. The research findings indicate that the implementation of IRE has a positive and significant effect on student self-reliance. Similarly, religious character has an equally significant influence on student self-reliance. Both factors contribute significantly to student self-reliance simultaneously. In conclusion, higher implementation of IRE and stronger religious character lead to increased self-reliance among 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in the academic year 2021/2022.

The Concept of Islamic Education Today in the Challenges of the Social Media Era

Nowadays, Islamic religious education is often underestimated in educational institutions. As researchers can see, with the development of the times social media is very influential on Islamic religious education. Because social media is often used in everyday life. Good against teachers, students or other communities. The purpose of researchers conducting research is to find out the concept of Islamic education in the challenges of the social media era. In this study, researchers used quantitative methods with servey models and in-depth interviews. The results of the study can be concluded that in today's era Islamic religious education is often trivialized by society. But actually Islamic education is very influential on future generations. Therefore, researchers can conclude that Islamic education is very important, because religious education is the main key to the morals and attitudes of students. Meanwhile, with the existence of Islamic religious education in schools, the morals and manners of students are problematic. Imagine if Islamic religious education is abolished or underestimated how the moral development of the nation's successors. The limitation of this study is that researchers have not been able to find ways or solutions so that religious education is not underestimated or trivialized by educational institutions or society. The researcher's hope for future researchers is that future researchers can find ways or solutions so that Islamic education is not underestimated.
  

Religious Coping in Students with Disabilities with Disabilities


 
 
 Education is a right that must be obtained by everyone without exception, as well as people with disabilities, they have the right to receive education according to their abilities, whether formal education or non-formal education, general knowledge or religious knowledge, and it is their choice to determine what path of education they take. what they take is like students with disabilities who study at Islamic boarding schools. This is an unusual phenomenon because students with disabilities have to struggle like normal students in general with their limitations. In this research, students with disabilities admitted that they were hampered by several things, namely adjustment, independence and bullying from friends. This research aims to explore religious coping in students with disabilities who are physically impaired. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection used in this research was interviews and observations. The data validity technique uses triangulation techniques. The results of the research in this study were that students with disabilities were able to accept and be sincere about their situation, the subject decided to receive Islamic boarding school religious education on the basis of religion, he wanted to deepen his knowledge of religion, and this was done through the Islamic boarding school route. The religious coping strategy used by the subject is the deferring approach carried out by the subject by surrendering or believing that there will definitely be help from God, and the collaborative approach carried out by the subject by taking lessons from each problem and trying to solve it by asking God for help. Apart from that, the subjects also used a form of positive religious coping, where the researchers found that the subjects reflected with feelings of patience, gratitude and sincerity. Subjects also need support, the biggest support comes from parents, then from friends and the surrounding environment.

Educational technology is often assumed in the perception that leads solely to the problem of electronics or technical equipment only, whereas educational technology contains a very broad understanding and application. The progress of global technology has been influential in all aspects of life both in economics, politics, art culture and even in education. The world of education must be willing to hold a positive innovation for the advancement of education and schools. One of the products of that educational technology is wordwall. Wordwall application has become one of the innovative learning tools in the context of Islamic Religious Education. . This research explores the use of Wordwall application in improving the effectiveness of learning Islamic Religious Education subjects at the high school level and above. Experimental research methods are used by involving a group of students as research subjects. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the use of Wordwall application on the understanding of Islamic religious concepts, student involvement, and their learning interests. The results showed that the use of Wordwall application in Islamic Religious Education Learning significantly improve students ' understanding of religious concepts, as well as encourage student involvement in the learning process. Students show greater interest in learning Islamic religious material when using the Wordwall app, which offers an interactive and engaging format. In this context, the Wordwall app has proven to be an effective tool in improving the learning of Islamic Religious Education in schools. The implications of this study indicate that the integration of technology in Islamic religious learning can enrich the learning experience of students and support their understanding of religious concepts in a more comprehensive and enjoyable.

Roman Catholic Religious Education in the Internet Media Coverage in Poland

For many years, there has been a heated debate in the Polish media regarding the presence and concept of Roman Catholic religious education in schools. Therefore, questions arise: What image of Roman Catholic religious education emerges from the media discussion? Are the criteria used to evaluate Roman Catholic religious education fair, ensuring equal treatment of all subjects in Polish schools? This article attempts to answer these questions through a qualitative analysis of 100 publications posted on popular websites between 2018 and 2022. The results of the research confirm that the media debate on Roman Catholic religious education in Polish schools is not always objective and tolerant.

This comprehensive literature review explores the multifaceted dimensions of optimizing morality and ethics through Islamic religious education in schools. Delving into the growing field of Islamic education that can spur a new way of human life, from the beginning of life to its end are interrelated, this review synthesizes existing research, identifies trends, and offers insights for educators, policy makers, and researchers . The reason behind this exploration lies in the urgency to find out the level of morality of Islamic religious education in schools, namely: replacing the role of humans by automating a task or process. Strengthening the human role, namely presenting information, tasks, or processes. Restructuring or making changes to a task or process. This review covers various aspects, starting from Islamic religious education in schools, morality and ethics in Islam, Islamic religious education as a means of building morality, and the factors that influence it. By examining the interaction between aspects of morality and ethics, this literature review contributes to the ongoing discourse regarding assisting individuals in dealing with the moral challenges faced in modern contexts.

The power of exemplarity in religious education

ABSTRACT Calls for reframing the subject matter of Religious Education in schools include the tricky question of how to select from a world of potentially interesting and relevant material. Pedagogues have long questioned the educational logic that takes so-called substantive knowledge as its starting point and imagines education to follow a linear path from simple to complex. Scholars of Religious Studies have addressed similar questions of how to bring the subject matter to life through taking a more disciplinary orientation , though this approach is problematized by RE’s multi-disciplinary foundations This paper brings together pedagogical and disciplinary perspectives to the question of exemplification in the production of curricular subject matter. Taking as its context RE in schools, the paper assumes the didactic principle that there is considerable difference between putative disciplinary knowledge and school subject matter and that the production of school subject matter requires considered processes of pedagogical transformation and reduction. The paper explores the logic governing this transformation by drawing on the pedagogical analysis of exemplarity offered by Martin Wagenschein alongside the more disciplinary analyses of the place of examples from Jonathan Z. Smith.

A case study of parent perspectives on interreligious learning and teaching in a diverse Catholic school context: ‘Building a civilisation of love’

ABSTRACT In the pluralised contexts of many contemporary Australian Catholic schools, cultural and religious diversity is a reality that could be ignored or potentially utilised to enhance learning. This case study probes the perceptions of parents regarding their children’s engagement in Religious Education in a Catholic school and in particular, engagement in interreligious learning and teaching. The small qualitative study utilised interviews with parents that were analysed and coded to reveal themes that are then discussed in light of the literature reviewed. Four key themes emerged: engagement, diversity, voice and agency, and identity revealing potential for enhancing partnerships with parents and families in the educative project of growing young Australians into their humanity and working towards the creation of a civilisation of love. The study points to a potential for the ‘wider Church’ to engage families in dialogue through articulating the why and how of Religious Education in Catholic schools (including interreligious learning and teaching) and enhancing parental engagement in such learning and teaching to resource the spiritual/religious identity of all as they grow into the fulness of life.

Programming Religious Education in Secondary Schools at Catechetical Congresses in the Kingdom of Poland in the First Decade of the Twentieth Century

The subject of the article is the issue of developing a uniform religious education curriculum for secondary schools in the Kingdom of Poland. These activities were shown in connection with catechetical congresses of school prefects in the first decade of the 20th century in the Russian partition. These meetings became an opportunity to exchange ideas on the concepts of future religious education curricula and an attempt to develop a common version of the curriculum for the entire Kingdom of Poland. The main sources that were researched are materials from catechetical congresses of school prefects from that period, as well as framework and detailed curricula defining the content of religious teaching addressed to junior high school students.

Teacher’s Spiritual Competence and Its Implicatioan in Islamic Relgious Education Learning in Pidie, Aceh

Teachers have a great responsibility in education as they help direct spiritual aspects to foster good morals in students. The research examines spiritual competence and its implications for learning Islamic Religious Education in schools in Pidie, Aceh. This research is based on the field study and applied the qualitative descriptive-analytic method. The study subjects were five teachers, four principals, and three students at the scchools in Pidie.  Data was collected using interviews, observations, document studies, and focused group dsicussions. The findings showed that the teachers' spiritual competence came from the sincere nature of the teachers in educating students. Such sincerity became the main factor in motivating the teachers to educate sincerely, earnestly, responsibly, and with discipline so that the learning process and the quality of learning could be better. Islamic religious education teachers' spiritual competence has influenced their teaching performance and helped them complete their duties correctly. This spiritual competence also affects the students' morals and enthusiasm to improve their academic achievements. Hence, students have received proper guidance, advice, and role models from teachers in class and extracurricular activities.

LA ENSEÑANZA RELIGIOSA EN LAS ESCUELAS INDÍGENAS DE PERNAMBUCO

The study aims to understand the struggles and resistances embedded in indigenous territories in Pernambuco, inserted in their religious traditions, contrary to the colonial heritage and the experiences and achievements of a pedagogical nature in indigenous schools, involved in the promotion of specific, differentiated and intercultural education, in their interfaces with Religious Education. Currently, in Pernambuco, the indigenous peoples of Atikum, Entre Serras Pankararu, Fulni-ô, Kambiwá, Kapinawá, Pankarará, Pankararu, Parankarau Opará, Pankaiwka, Pipipã de Kambixuru, Pipipã Terra and Água, Tuxí, Tuxá, Truká, Xukuru de Cimbres and Xukuru do Ororubá. The approach presented was directed to the study of the curricular component of Religious Education in indigenous schools, in the light of the Official Curriculum, articulated with the Thematic Axes of Indigenous School Education of Pernambuco, considering the differentiated and specific teaching, which underlie the thematic axes and base the construction of methodologies based on the perspective of interculturality. Finally, the relevance of indigenous religious tradition and spirituality within the school space will be analyzed, appreciated as emic categories, in contexts of identity strengthening, articulated with the societal projects of each people.

The rise of acts of terrorism in the name of Islam in Indonesia and in the world, has drawn a lot of criticism and scrutiny and has placed Muslims as the party to blame. The method in this study uses a type of library research (library research). The research data consists of primary data and secondary data. Data was collected using documentary techniques, which were collected from books, papers or articles, magazines, scientific journals and newspapers. Data analysis techniques include deductive and inductive. The results of this study found: 1) The concept of Counter-Terrorism Education as an effort to prevent terrorism through education is the basis of philosophy in education, moral and religious values. 2) The concept of Islamic Religious Education and Moral Character in the Free Curriculum Islamic Religious Education and Moral Education taught in schools are subjects that aim to produce students who have a religious spirit and obey their religious orders. direct students to become people of faith and carry out good deeds according to their respective abilities.

Bu araştırmada Kırgızistan ortaokullardaki din dersi ele alınmıştır. Bağımsızlığına kavuşmasının ardından Kırgızistan’da, milli, manevî ve dinî değerler yeniden canlanmıştır. İnanç ve vicdan özgürlüğü hakkındaki kanun çerçevesinde, vatandaşlara din özgürlüğü tanınmıştır. Bu çerçevede, genel eğitim içinde din dersinin yer almasına dair arayışlar başlamıştır. Bağımsızlığın ilk yıllarında laiklik ilkesinin farklı anlaşılması sebebiyle, okul programında din dersinin yer almasında büyük zorluklar yaşanmıştır. Ülke tarihinde yaşanan siyasi devrimler din dersinin önünü açmıştır. Daha sonra toplumda meydana gelen dinî olaylar din dersinin hukukî temellerinin oluşmasını hızlandırmıştır. Böylece ortaokullarda din dersi okutulmaya başlamıştır. Ancak din dersi içeriğinin toplumun beklentilerine cevap vermediği gerekçesiyle müfredatın yeniden düzenlenmesi sözkonusu olmuştur. Bu araştırmada Kırgızistan ortaokullarındaki din dersi analiz edilerek çeşitli yönleri ile ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Din dersinin tarihi, hukukî gelişimi ve öğretim programı, ders kitabı ve ders öğretmenleri betimsel araştırma yöntemine göre incelenmiştir.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AMONG SERBS AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE FOR PRESERVING NATIONAL IDENTITY

The subject of our work is to point out the importance of religious education among Serbs, starting from the historical paradigm – the first half of the 18th century when Slavic and Latin schools were opened in Sremski Karlovci, thanks to the activities of the then Metropolitan of Belgrade, Mojsej Petrović, and later Vićentije Jovanović. Within these schools begins the education of Serbian students and the development of the school system in the Russo-Slavic language, the official language of the Serbian Orthodox Church and equivalent to the first Serbian literary language. It is indisputable that the Serbian people joined the community of civilized nations, with a clearly recognizable and strong national identity thanks to Orthodoxy. Serbian Orthodox Church played the essential role in the national integration and preservation of national consciousness and identity. Therefore, it becomes quite clear that any current “speech” on the renewal and development of the Serbian national identity cannot “put out of sight” its Orthodox component, nor declare it anachronistic and outdated. Further, the paper considers the need for higher quality religious education in the Republic of Serbia, as well as the assumptions (conditions) for their implementation. The provision of Religious Education in primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Serbia is of great importance for the improvement of educational system, mostly because it provides the insight of the connection between religion and science. Its introduction into the educational system has a significant impact on the evaluation, nurturing and preservation of national values. The provision of Religious Education in primary and secondary schools also provides students with a complete religious view of the world and enables the building and preservation of national and cultural identity. Also, the introduction of Religious Education has a great impact on the construction of a multi-ethnic and multicultural society within the community of European states.

Strategi Guru Dalam Meningkatkan Pengembangan Pembelajaran PAI

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in vocational high schools (SMK), such as SMK Negeri 1 Karangan, plays a central role in shaping the character and morals of students. IRE teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Karangan have a significant responsibility in enhancing the quality of IRE instruction. This article discusses various strategies employed by IRE teachers to improve the development of IRE learning, including the implementation of interactive methods, utilization of technology, relevance of materials to students' lives, collaboration with external resources, facilitating open discussions on religious issues, formative assessment, and feedback usage. Furthermore, this article also encompasses the evaluation and development process of the IRE curriculum at SMK Negeri 1 Karangan, involving goal analysis, learning material evaluation, teaching methods, assessment of learning outcomes, feedback from students and teachers, identification of development needs, curriculum development, as well as implementation and monitoring phases. The aim of this evaluation and development is to ensure that Islamic religious education at SMK Negeri 1 Karangan remains in accordance, relevant, and effective according to student demands and societal developments.

State High School Religious Education Teachers ‘Strategies in Minimizing the Occupation of Interreligious Marriages in the Regency of North Minahasa

Marriage is said to be valid in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia if it is performed according to their respective religions as regulated in Law Number 16 of 2019 amendment to Law Number 1 of 1974 Concerning Marriage, in Article 2 paragraph (1) which reads "Marriage is lawful, if it is carried out according to the laws of each religion and belief.” However, in reality, there are also many interfaith marriages, either through marriages abroad or through efforts to find legal loopholes. If there are interfaith marriages, this occurs partly due to a lack of knowledge and education when the perpetrators of the marriage are still in school. This research seeks to see the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers in North Minahasa Regency which are considered successful in minimizing the occurrence of interfaith marriages in this region. This research is field research with a qualitative approach and is descriptive-analytical. The results showed that the success of PAI teachers in minimizing interfaith marriages was by implementing two main strategies, namely broadening students' horizons and monitoring and guidance. In broadening students' insights, debgab teaches the concept of responsibility and students' abilities before marriage, explaining religious and government rules that must be obeyed so they are not seen as violating. Meanwhile, the monitoring and guidance strategy is carried out in a limited way for students who are seen as having an affair through dating in the environment of students who are of different religions by identifying the factors that cause this relationship. From the research, it is known that if interfaith marriages occur, then environmental factors are very dominant even though there are also family and behavioral factors but not too significant.

Learning from Experience: Liturgical Formation as a Central Component of Religious Education in Schools

Religious education in schools was, for a long time, liturgically shaped until liturgical formation was no longer seen as a task of schools but of parish catechesis in many countries. Current approaches try to develop a liturgical didactic that is adapted to the school as a place of learning. Based on the confessional model of religious education in Austria, this paper shows the challenges and significance of liturgical formation in reference to Pope Francis’ letter Desiderio Desideravi. In combining perspectives of religious education and liturgical studies, the necessary conditions for liturgical formation to succeed are shown. A didactic of Catholic liturgy that builds on established didactics and strives for liturgical formation on the cutting edge is presented, adapted to the setting of schools and distinct from parish catechesis. One way of responding to the lack of experience is with the help of performative didactics to enable practical experiences that, framed in reflection, form the basis for engagement with the liturgy. Such a liturgical didactic aims at enabling competence in matters of worship, considering all people, if a renewed understanding of liturgy is taken seriously, according to which worship is the celebration of the whole assembly and therefore requires a corresponding participation of all.
